The final Harry Potter movie has ended the series with a box office bang by breaking a string of significant movie records.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the eighth movie in the wizard franchise, set a new record for the highest-grossing opening weekend, taking $481,489,427 (£298,431,531) around the world between 15 to 16 July.
The figure easily surpasses the previous benchmark of $390M set by another film in the JK Rowling-inspired series, 2009ís Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Read more . . .
